But a couple other things I think would be huge is a FA approval option like the trade one so you can veto stupid signings by CPU teams for those that don't wanna spend 8 hours an offseason doing 30 team control. I agree that franchise in this game is amazing compared to the field. And there's too many good generic ones to choose from as a user team and that goes for all staff positions, but the CPU hires the terrible ones mostly. They seem to give the coaches random deals to start a franchise and like half of them are up after the first year and the new teams they go to make no sense.
And no more seeing the Spurs not renew Pop when his 1 year deal expires after the first season and seeing him signed by the Knicks or something. Ya I wish coaches had their real life contracts. I agree w those who say allowing teams to extend during the season would help, tremendously.Īside from that, this is still the strongest franchise mode experience found on a console. To me, the AI handling of their staff is the biggest concern for me. They're good additions, but not essential to optimum experience imo. How much variance is there? How often does a player spike up and break out? I.e. Most important things i will look for in MyLeague, in order of personal preference:ġ. therefor, give us more tools for us to manage such subjectiveness and make them fit our views. Trade value is subjective, from team to team, season to season, player to player. and give us the users the tools to edit those guidelines per teams as well as give us the tools to edit players preferences for signing or trades (join: big markets, superstars, contenders, up coming teams, home, coach/system X, or go after big payday, etc). set some guidelines for teams management stances (drafting, signing, trading, assigning rotations, etc), like: value picks, get rid of vets, value near future capspace, value vets, go after superstars, after complementary role players, play rookies and youngsters over vets, draft position of need, draft best available, draft best player with X skill, etc, etc. This is every day stuff that makes ZERO sense to me, so other than LeBron going to Orlando, it's really not all that bad.ĭefinitively agree and sum that with each and everyone of us having our own unique views on how things should be handled and players valued and it just make sense to go an alternative route.
